Personal profile

LUO Yanan received her PhD in population, environment and health from Institute of Population Research, Peking University in 2019, and completed her postdoctoral fellowship in Peking University and the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis International Postdoctoral Fellowship Program in 2021. Dr. Luo’s research focus on life course approach to health, prevention and control of functional impairment and cognitive impairment in old age, urbanization, migration and mental health, population health. She has published more than 40 peer-reviewed papers, and has lead and participated in a number of international-, national- and provincial-level research projects. She serves as Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World Full Member, and the member of APEC Life Science Innovation Forum (APEC LSIF), Academic Network for Sexual, Reproductive Health and Rights (ANSER) and Professional Committee on Disability Prevention and Control of Chinese Preventive Medicine Association. Dr. Luo was invited to participated in WHO Expert Consultation Seminar on Regulatory Coordination in the Western Pacific Region, APEC Senior Official Meeting·Life Science Innovative Forum related meetings, and UN Washington Group on Disability Statistics Training Workshop.
