Personal profile

Tian-Jiao Chen is an associate professor in Institute of Child and Adolescent Health, Peking University. She graduated from the school of public health of Peking University with a bachelor's degree (from preventive medicine) in 2000, and a doctor's degree (from Child and Adolescent Health and Maternal and Child Health) in 2005. In the same year, she stayed in the Institute and served as a lecturer and associate professor successively. From 2010 to 2011, he worked as a visiting scholar at Karolinska Medical College in Sweden and the health equity research center of Stockholm University. From 2010 to 2011, she worked as a visiting scholar at Center for Health Equity Study (CHESS) of Stockholm University and Karolinska Institute in Sweden. She also is the member of the school branch of China health promotion and Education Association and the communication editorial board of Chinese Journal of School Health. She has presided over more than 10 scientific research projects from such as National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Ministry of education, the Ministry of health and United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund, and has published more than 60 academic papers in Chinese and English. She won the first prize of Science and Technology Award of the China Preventive Medicine Association as the third person, and the third prize of the Beijing Science and technology award as the second person.

Main research directions

Growth and development of children and adolescents and the related influencing factors; Children and Adolescents Twin Study; Study on obesity related risk factors and prevention and control strategies in children and adolescents; Health risk behaviors of children and adolescents.
